US Poker Open 2025: Wilson, Deng, and Andrews Shake Up Leaderboard Early
The seventh US Poker Open (USPO) is underway at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, with three events already decided. Brock Wilson, Clemen Deng, and Cherish Andrews have each claimed victory in the opening tournaments. Their wins have reshuffled the leaderboard as players compete for a place in the season-ending PGT Championship.
The USPO kicked off with Brock Wilson securing Event #1. This marked his fifth PGT title and his third win of 2025. The victory also moved him into second place on the PGT Championship leaderboard.
Clemen Deng followed by taking down Event #2. His win earned him $127,400 and marked his second PGT title. Meanwhile, Cherish Andrews triumphed in Event #3, her first PGT victory since November 2025. Before this win, she sat just outside the qualification zone in 43rd place on the PGT Championship leaderboard. The USPO features ten events in total, with buy-ins rising to $10,000 for the fourth tournament. The series will peak with a $15,000 event and a $25,000 closer next week. This edition is the last chance for players to earn PGT points in Las Vegas before the tour shifts to Texas for the Texas Poker Open. After the first three events, Andrews now leads the USPO standings. Deng sits in second, followed by Wilson and Mugar. The top 40 players on the season-long leaderboard will secure a spot in the PGT Championship at the end of the year. The USPO began in 2018, with Stephen Chidwick claiming the inaugural title. Since then, the series has grown into a key stop on the high-stakes poker calendar.
The US Poker Open continues with higher buy-ins and bigger prizes on the horizon. Players are battling for crucial points before the tour moves to Texas. The final standings will determine who advances to the PGT Championship later this season.
