May's poker frenzy: Three major tournaments kick off across Europe and Canada

May is set to be a busy month for poker fans, with three major tournaments taking place across Europe and Canada. The 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid, the OlyBet Showdown Vilnius, and the Pure Poker Tour in Edmonton will all host high-stakes events and exclusive coverage for players and spectators alike. The 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid kicks off at Gran Casino Via Madrid from May 11 to 17. The schedule includes a €500 Main Event, a €150 Mini Main Event, and three poker.pro-branded Mixed Games tournaments. Christoffer Karlén will cover the event for poker.pro, alongside host Glenn Brown, who also serves as the PartyPoker Tour Ambassador.

From May 9 to 17, the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius will take place at Olympic Casino Lithuania. Highlights include a €555 PKO Main Event, a €350 Sviten Special, and a €350 T.O.R.S.S. Mixed Games Main Event. Richard Hayes will provide live updates for the €555 NLH Championship and the Main Event, which drew 183 entries and a €173,850 prize pool in January 2026. Meanwhile, the 2026 Pure Poker Tour runs at Pure Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton, Canada, from May 3 to 17. The tour features 17 distinct events, including a C$1,100 Main Event with an estimated C$309,425 prize pool. Lyle Bateman will cover the action live for poker.pro. Later in the month, the 2026 Festival Weekend Vilnius returns to Olympic Casino Lithuania from May 28 to 31.
