WSOP High Stakes Live debuts in Vegas with million-dollar poker showdowns

A new poker event, WSOP High Stakes Live, is set to take place at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas over three weekends in June. The series marks a collaboration between NSUS Group, which owns GGPoker and the WSOP brand, and High Stakes Poker Productions (HSPP), the team behind Hustler Casino Live. This event will serve as a test for HSPP’s plans to expand its product into a wider network concept in the future. The schedule includes six high-stakes games spread across June 5-6, June 12-13, and June 19-20. One of the highlights will be the Million Dollar Game IV, taking place on June 12. This tournament was previously an annual feature at Hustler Casino Live but has now moved to the WSOP in Las Vegas.

Ryan Feldman, co-owner and producer of Hustler Casino Live, expects most games to have buy-ins of around $50,000 or $100,000. While the final lineups for the Million Dollar Game and other events are still being confirmed, players like Alan Keating and Santhosh Suvarna are expected to participate. Hustler Casino Live will maintain its regular programming from Monday to Thursday throughout the event. If this test run proves successful, HSPP cash games could appear at various poker events worldwide. The partnership between NSUS Group and HSPP aims to blend the high-energy production style of Hustler Casino Live with the prestige of the WSOP brand.

WSOP High Stakes Live will run for three weekends in June, offering six high-stakes poker games. The event will also determine whether HSPP’s network concept moves forward globally. Organisers hope the collaboration will attract top players and set a new standard for televised poker.
