Las Vegas casinos face delays, takeovers and bold new attractions this summer

Several changes are coming to Las Vegas casinos in the coming months. New attractions, delays, and brand takeovers are reshaping the city’s gaming scene. Among the updates, a highly anticipated casino opening has been postponed without explanation.

The new Club Fortune North casino, set to replace Poker Palace in North Las Vegas, missed its planned April opening. No details have been given about the delay or a new launch date.

Meanwhile, Caesars Sportsbook is preparing to take over the Westgate SuperBook, one of Las Vegas’ most well-known sportsbooks. The transition is expected to finish before football season begins, though it still needs regulatory approval. Over at Mandalay Bay, the 63rd-floor Foundation Room is being transformed into the Vinyl Room. This new venue will showcase thousands of vinyl records and is scheduled to open in August. On the Strip, Circus Circus remains the only casino with a dedicated bingo room. The property has also added coin-operated slots to its gaming floor.

The changes reflect ongoing shifts in Las Vegas’ casino and entertainment offerings. Club Fortune North’s opening remains on hold, while Caesars Sportsbook’s takeover of the Westgate SuperBook moves forward. The Vinyl Room’s August debut will add another music-themed attraction to the city’s nightlife.
