Gaming Industry Unites to Fight Human Trafficking with Free Training

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has teamed up with RG24seven Virtual Training to launch a free online program aimed at preventing human trafficking. The initiative was announced on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, reinforcing Hard Rock’s ongoing efforts to tackle the issue. It will train gambling industry staff to spot and stop trafficking activity. The new program builds on AGA’s existing Guide to Preventing and Combating Human Trafficking. Industry experts, charities, and US law enforcement all contributed to its development. AGA also released an updated toolkit tailored specifically for the gaming sector.

Alex Costello, AGA’s vice president of government relations, stressed the need to fight human trafficking and equip employees with prevention skills. Wendy Anderson, RG24seven’s CEO, added that the industry must take responsibility for safeguarding customers and communities. As part of the campaign, AGA representatives will join anti-trafficking events and a congressional briefing organised by the US Chamber of Commerce.

The free training program is now available to gambling industry workers across the US. It provides practical tools to identify and respond to trafficking risks. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen protections within the sector.
