PGA Championship 2024 teams up to promote responsible sports betting

The PGA of America has teamed up with the American Gaming Association’s Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly. campaign. This partnership aims to encourage safer betting habits among golf fans. The initiative will be highlighted during the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club.

The 2024 PGA Championship runs from May 16 to May 19 at Valhalla in Kentucky. As part of the event, the PGA of America will roll out co-branded content and educational materials to promote responsible gaming. These efforts align with the broader Have A Game Plan campaign, which urges bettors to set budgets, keep gaming social, and use only legal, regulated operators.

PGA of America’s chief commercial officer, Jeff Price, has backed the collaboration. Joe Maloney, AGA’s senior vice president of strategic communications, also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. The PGA joins other major leagues—including MLB, NASCAR, the NBA, PGA TOUR, NHL, and WNBA—in supporting the initiative. Further details about the campaign can be found on the official *Have A Game Plan* website.

The partnership marks a step in the PGA of America’s strategy to foster responsible betting. Fans attending the PGA Championship will see messaging and resources aimed at safer wagering. The campaign’s guidelines will remain accessible beyond the tournament through official channels.
