PokerStars and PokerPower relaunch Women's Bootcamp with global opportunities

PokerStars and PokerPower have joined forces once again to host the Women’s Bootcamp, a programme aimed at making poker more inclusive. The initiative returns with expanded offerings and a chance for participants to win trips to major poker events. Applications are now open to female players around the globe. The Bootcamp will run from July 31st to September 28th, featuring eight modules covering different aspects of the game. Participants will receive coaching from expert Poker Power instructors and PokerStars Ambassadors. They will also gain access to PokerStars Learn for additional skill development and PokerStars Home Games for practice sessions.

Finalists in the programme will earn an all-expenses-paid trip to EPT Cyprus, with one lucky player securing a full package to EPT Prague. Erin Lydon, President of Poker Power, highlighted the excitement around the Bootcamp’s return and its growth this year. Rebecca McAdam Willetts, Director of Partnerships, PR and Consumer Engagement, added that the event would help more women engage with poker while building valuable skills.

Research from PokerStars reveals that 42% of UK women who play poker believe it sharpens their focus and concentration. Another 38% say it improves their decision-making. Despite this, over half of UK women still feel poker is not accessible to them. The Bootcamp aims to change that perception by providing structured training and high-profile opportunities. The application window for the Women’s Bootcamp closes on July 22nd. Successful candidates will benefit from professional coaching, exclusive resources, and the chance to compete in international tournaments. The programme seeks to break down barriers and encourage more women to explore poker as both a skill and a competitive pursuit.
