Xuan Liu makes history as first woman to win a Triton Poker title

Xuan Liu has made history by becoming the first woman to win a Triton Poker title. She triumphed at the $25,000 WPT Global Slam event in Montenegro, securing the top prize of $860,000 and the prestigious Triton trophy. Her victory marks a significant milestone in her career and the poker world. The tournament drew 155 players, creating a prize pool exceeding $3 million. Among the tough competition, Daniel Dvoress entered the final day with a commanding 4:1 chip lead. However, Liu’s bold strategy, including a high-stakes bluff, turned the tables in her favour.

In the final heads-up battle, Liu overcame Dvoress to claim the title. This win represents her largest live cash to date, pushing her lifetime earnings beyond $3 million. It also moved her up to 15th place on the Women’s All-Time Money List. Meanwhile, the next Triton event, Event #2: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em, is nearing its conclusion. Alex Foxen currently leads the final table, where the first-place prize stands at $755,000 alongside another Triton trophy. The total prize pool for this event has reached $3,250,000.

Liu’s victory not only earns her a record-breaking payday but also cements her place in poker history. The Triton series continues with high stakes, as the next event prepares to crown its champion in the coming days.
