Ex-employee arrested for stealing $570 from Miami casino machines

A former employee of Miccosukee Casino and Resort in Miami has been arrested for stealing from gaming machines. G.G.D., a resident of Hialeah, allegedly cashed out vouchers worth nearly $570 before his arrest. The theft came to light after the casino’s HR team alerted local authorities. The incident began when G.G.D. reportedly took 13 gaming vouchers totalling $568.87. His actions were later flagged by casino staff during routine checks. Upon questioning, he admitted to the theft.

G.G.D. was arrested when he returned to the casino to pick up his final paycheck. Following his confession, he was booked into jail. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether further charges or additional suspects could emerge. The casino itself has remained silent on the matter. No public statement has been released, and details about G.G.D.’s role or employment history have not been disclosed.

The case underscores how casinos monitor internal security and rely on staff to report suspicious activity. Even minor thefts involving employees are treated as serious offences. For now, no further information about the investigation has been provided.
