WSOP Europe smashes records as Rounder Cup Day 2 kicks off in Prague

The WSOP Europe Main Event in Prague has broken records with over 2,600 entries, making it the largest in European history. Meanwhile, the Rounder Cup—a €2,750 buy-in tournament—has reached its second day after splitting players into European and Rest of the World fields. The Rounder Cup began with two separate flights on Tuesday at the Prague Hilton. A total of 104 players advanced to Day 2, where the two fields will combine and play down to a winner. Blinds on Day 2 start at 3,000/6,000/6,000.

In the European field, 380 entries were whittled down to the final 61 players. Tony Zengovski from North Macedonia leads with 423,000 chips, while UK player Benny Glaser remains among the top contenders. The Rest of the World field saw 267 entries reduced to 43 players, with Canada’s Mike Leah at the top with 550,000 chips. Payouts for the tournament begin once the field narrows to the last 98 players.

Day 2 of the Rounder Cup will determine the winner after combining both flights. The event’s structure pits European players against the rest of the world, with only the top performers securing a share of the prize pool. The tournament continues as part of the record-breaking WSOP Europe series in Prague.
