PlayCity cracks down on illegal gambling ads with new reporting tool

PlayCity has introduced a new online tool for reporting illegal gambling ads. The system has already led to action against a Twitch account promoting unauthorised betting. Meanwhile, the company has fined a major operator for failing to meet regulatory deadlines.

The reporting tool was launched to help citizens flag illegal gambling promotions. Shortly after its introduction, a Twitch account was reported for advertising unauthorised betting services. PlayCity suspended the account, and Twitch later removed it following an internal review.

In a separate case, PlayCity fined SLOTS U.A. LLC, the operator of BetKing, over $10,000. The penalty came after the company delayed its response to an official information request from regulators. PlayCity stressed that prompt and complete replies to such requests are essential for maintaining transparency in the gambling sector.

The new reporting tool has already shown results by targeting illegal promotions on Twitch. The fine against BetKing’s operator highlights the importance of compliance with regulatory timelines. PlayCity continues to enforce stricter oversight in the gambling market.
