George Mounsef outlasts Tyler Foran in dramatic high-stakes poker duel

A high-stakes poker match between George Mounsef and Tyler Foran concluded early on Wednesday, wrapping up at 3:30 AM local time. The game, part of a 95-player tournament, ended with Mounsef securing the top spot and a share of the $27,075 prize pool. The final table began with Mounsef holding an early advantage. Foran soon fought back, briefly overtaking the lead before the momentum shifted again.

Mounsef regained control after a decisive hand where he bet 60,000 on the turn and 80,000 on the river. Foran, facing pressure, called the bets but folded when Mounsef revealed king-six.

The turning point came in the next hand. Foran went all-in with 935,000 chips, holding queen-ten. Mounsef called, and a heart on the river sealed his victory. With the blinds at 25,000/50,000/50,000 and the tournament at level 25, both players agreed to a deal before the final showdown.

Under the terms, Mounsef took first place and $7,000, while Foran secured second place and $6,270.

The match marked the end of a 95-entry tournament, with Mounsef claiming the title after a back-and-forth battle. The agreed deal distributed the $27,075 prize pool, leaving Mounsef as the eventual winner.
