Yosef Fox claims first WSOP bracelet in $10K Mystery Bounty thriller
Yosef Fox has claimed his first WSOP bracelet in Event #9: the $10,000 Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold'em tournament. The victory also marked the biggest cash of his career, with a total prize of $729,333. His previous largest win stood at just $47,000.
The 2025 WSOP event drew a massive field of 4,378 players, making it one of the largest in the series. With a main prize pool of nearly $3.9 million—plus an extra $1.84 million in mystery bounties—it became the richest event of the tournament schedule.
On the final day, Fox dominated the competition, eliminating well-known players such as Shannon Shorr, Mike Gorodinsky, Dario Sammartino, and Joe Cada. He also secured a $250,000 bounty envelope after knocking out Patrick Kennedy. The final table saw Richard Green finish fourth for $237,123, followed by James Mendoza in third place, who took home $336,594. Heads-up play then pitted Fox against Alejandro Peinado, with Fox ultimately winning the bracelet and the top prize. Peinado earned $486,192 for his runner-up finish. Fox's son, Jorden—a WSOP winner himself—watched and cheered from the rail as his father secured the title.
Fox's victory brings his career earnings to new heights, far surpassing his previous best result. The event's record-breaking prize pool and large turnout highlight its significance in the 2025 WSOP series.
