WSOPC Thunder Valley brings a $1M Main Event and 13 rings to Northern California
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) is heading to Thunder Valley in Northern California for a major stop from September 25 to October 6. The event features two six-figure guarantees and a $1,000,000 Main Event, alongside 13 WSOP Circuit rings up for grabs. Players will also have the chance to qualify for the season-ending WSOP Paradise trip.
The schedule kicks off with the $400 Opener, offering five starting flights—two each on September 25 and 26, plus a final flight on Saturday, September 27. On Sunday, September 28, a $400 No-Limit Hold'em one-day event with a $40,000 guarantee will take place. The following days, September 29 and 30, host a $400 Monsterstack with a $100,000 guarantee, split across two opening flights.
Before the Main Event begins, several $600 mixed game tournaments will run, including Omaha 8, HORSE, 2-7 Triple Draw, and Pot-Limit Omaha. The highlight of the series is the $1,000,000 Main Event, starting on October 2 with three flights and a $1,700 buy-in. So far, 1,256 players have entered, with nine already securing spots in the top 10.
Recent winners at Thunder Valley include Scott Stewart, who claimed a ring at the last event fresh off his WPT Championship victory. Akbar Zamani also made headlines by winning his first WSOPC ring in the Main Event, pocketing $187,000.
The WSOPC Thunder Valley stop offers players multiple high-stakes opportunities, from the $400 Opener to the $1,000,000 Main Event.
