WPT 2025 World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas Reveals Massive 78-Tournament Schedule
The World Poker Tour (WPT) has unveiled its full schedule for the 2025 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. Running from December 2 to 22, the series will include 78 tournaments, featuring high-stakes events and major guarantees. Players can expect a mix of buy-ins, from affordable entry points to elite high roller competitions.
The action begins on December 2 with an $800 buy-in Opening Event, offering a $1 million prize guarantee. Later in the series, a $1,600 no-limit hold'em (NLH) single-day tournament on December 12 will carry the same guarantee. Two additional $1,600 NLH events with $1 million guarantees are scheduled for December 5–7 and December 18–20.
The WPT Prime Championship returns from December 7 to 12, boasting a $5 million guarantee. Meanwhile, Scott Stewart will defend his title in the marquee WPT World Championship Main Event, set for December 13–19. Recent years have seen strong turnout, with an average of 2,150 entrants between 2021 and 2025, peaking at 2,782 in 2023. High rollers will have two chances to compete in $25,800 buy-in events on December 17 and 18. A $3,000 NLH tournament with a $3 million guarantee runs from December 18 to 20, while a $1,100 NLH event from December 16 to 19 offers a $2 million guarantee.
The 2025 WPT World Championship promises a packed schedule with events catering to all levels of players. From the $800 Opening Event to high roller competitions, the series will distribute millions in prize money. The tournament runs for three weeks, concluding on December 22 at Wynn Las Vegas.
