World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Iowa in 2025 with 18 events
The World Series of Poker Circuit is returning to Iowa in 2025 after a year's absence. The event will take place at Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs from September 4-15. Players can compete in 18 ring events, with buy-ins ranging from $400 to $1,700.
Horseshoe Casino, just five miles from Omaha, Nebraska, will host the tournament. The venue includes 18 poker tables, a round-the-clock casino floor, and a sportsbook. On-site dining is available at Jack Binion's Steakhouse, open Tuesday to Saturday evenings.
The schedule kicks off with the $400 Mini Main Event from September 5-7. Pot Limit Omaha tournaments follow on September 8 ($400) and September 9 ($400 PLO 8/B). The $1,700 Main Event offers two starting flights and allows re-entries.
Scott Allacher won the last WSOPC Main Event in Iowa, claiming $83,865. This year's event will feature live reporting and professional photography by PokerOrg. Fourteen of the 18 events carry a $400 buy-in, making them accessible to a wide range of players.
The 2025 WSOPC stop marks the return of tournament poker to Iowa after no events were held in 2024. The series runs for 12 days, with the Main Event and Mini Main Event as key highlights. Players will compete for rings, prize money, and a chance to qualify for the WSOP Circuit National Championship.
