World Poker Tour G.O.A.T. Darren Elias Wins $25k High Roller at Wynn
Darren Elias has claimed victory in the $25,000 High Roller event at the WPT World Championship festival in Las Vegas. The win earned him $631,800 and added another major title to his already impressive poker career. The tournament took place at Wynn Las Vegas and featured some of the game’s toughest competition.
Elias, a two-time World Poker Tour champion and BetMGM ambassador, outlasted a star-studded final table. Among the skilled players he faced were Jason Koon, Brock Wilson, Ben Tollerene, and Punnat Punsri. The decisive moment came when he defeated Neil Warren in a heads-up battle to secure the title.
This victory caps off a strong year for Elias, who also won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet earlier in 2024. The WPT World Championship festival, which hosted the event, will wrap up on Sunday. Two more major titles were awarded: Soheb Porbandarwala took down the WPT World Championship for $2,520,000, while Andre Pitts won the WPT Prime Championship.
Elias’s latest triumph reinforces his reputation as one of poker’s top performers. The $631,800 prize boosts his career earnings and follows a year of consistent success. The festival’s final events will now determine the last champions of the series.
