Woman Dies After Falling from Atlantic City Casino Parking Garage
A 29-year-old woman has died after falling from an upper level of the Ocean Casino Resort parking garage in Atlantic City. Emergency crews discovered her body on New Jersey Avenue on Thursday, 28 January 2021. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The incident unfolded when the woman fell from a height inside the casino's parking structure. Police arrived after her body was spotted on the road below. Medics attempted life-saving treatment but were unable to revive her.
This marks the second fatal fall at an Atlantic City casino in recent months. In September 2020, a man died after plunging from the second floor of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Witnesses reported he had been trying to climb over a divider before losing his balance. Investigators found no signs of foul play in that case.
Violent incidents have also occurred at other casino properties. In July 2020, a brawl at the Tropicana Atlantic City left three men stabbed, one with life-threatening injuries. Four individuals—Jabari Cummings, Tyevon Walker, Delroy McNeil, and Shaun Laney—were later charged in connection with the attack.
Since the 2020 fatality at Hard Rock, no other deaths from falls on casino properties or parking areas have been officially recorded in Atlantic City.
The woman's death remains under investigation by local police. No further details about her identity or the exact cause of the fall have been released. Authorities have not indicated any connection to criminal activity at this stage.
