Winterthur’s New Swiss Casino Opens with Luxury and High-Stakes Gaming

A new casino, Swiss Casino Winterthur, has opened in Winterthur’s historic Sulzer district, transforming a former industrial area into a modern entertainment hub. Named Swiss Casino Winterthur, the venue launched on December 10, 2025, after a CHF 20 million renovation. Its standout feature—a 15-ton chandelier—dominates the public bar, called 'Lok'.

The casino offers a mix of gaming options, including over 200 slot games, roulette, blackjack, and poker tables. Three bars serve visitors across the venue. Director Daniel Kullmann oversees operations, emphasising both luxury and responsible gaming.

The CHF 20 million project marks a significant change for Winterthur’s Sulzer area. With automated services and strict player protections, the casino balances entertainment with responsible gaming. Its success will depend on attracting visitors while managing risks for vulnerable gamers.
