Vietnam's top pool stars aim for glory at 2026 World Teams 10-Ball Championship

Việt Nam is set to compete in the 2026 World Teams 10-Ball Championship in Las Vegas. The event, running from February 24 to March 1, will feature 32 national teams battling for a US$300,000 prize fund. Dương Quốc Hoàng, Bùi Xuân Vàng, and Phạm Phương Nam will represent the country in their opening match against the Netherlands on February 25.

The Vietnamese team includes three standout players. Dương Quốc Hoàng is widely regarded as the strongest member of the squad. Bùi Xuân Vàng has dominated domestic tournaments and earned recognition in international competitions. Phạm Phương Nam reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 UK Open Pool Championship and also competed at the 2025 World 8-Ball Championship.

The tournament follows a best-of-sets format, mixing team rotations, same-sex doubles, mixed doubles, and a final singles match or shoot-out if needed. Vietnam's first test comes against the Dutch side, which fields Marco Teutscher, Elise Qiu, and Yannick Pongers.

Germany enters as the defending champion, led by Joshua Filler, Moritz Neuhausen, and Pia Filler. Their goal is to retain the title in a field of 24 teams competing for the top prize. All matches will take place at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

The championship offers a US$300,000 prize fund and brings together top talent from around the world. Việt Nam's team will look to make an impact in their opening fixture against the Netherlands. The event runs until March 1, with teams vying for the 10-ball world title.
