Vietnam's First Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Art Museum Opens in Đà Nẵng
A new cultural landmark is set to open its doors in Đà Nẵng. The Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Art Museum, the first of its kind in Vietnam, will showcase the country's traditional folk heritage through interactive exhibits and activities. The museum's inauguration coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival, adding a touch of festivity to the event.
Spanning nearly 1,500 square meters, the museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of unicorn, lion, and dragon dancing. Visitors can expect an immersive cultural journey through Vietnam's three regions, with displays crafted by master artisan Lê Hồng, head of the Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance troupe from Bảy Bà Temple in An Giang Province.
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, the museum will host a series of festive activities. These include traditional desserts and lantern decorations, inviting visitors to participate and engage with Vietnam's rich cultural heritage. Additionally, the museum will offer interactive activities such as mask painting, providing a hands-on experience for all ages.
The Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Art Museum is set to become a significant cultural landmark in Đà Nẵng. By showcasing Vietnam's traditional culture to both domestic and international visitors, the museum aims to preserve and promote these folk art forms for future generations. Alongside its cultural mission, the museum is also supporting local communities through various charity programmes, including free medical check-ups and medicine distribution for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and remote areas.
