Vietnam and Russia sign landmark anti-corruption cooperation deal

Vietnam and Russia have bolstered their anti-corruption focus with a new agreement. The deal was inked between Vietnam’s Government Inspectorate (GIV) and Russia’s Presidential Civil Service, Personnel and Anti-Corruption Directorate. Both nations aim to deepen collaboration in training, transparency, and high-level exchanges.

The two sides formalised their cooperation through a memorandum of understanding. Under the agreement, they will increase visits by senior delegations and expand joint training programmes for officials. Capacity-building efforts will focus on improving anti-corruption measures.

The agreement reinforces Vietnam’s commitment to combating corruption with international support. Future efforts will focus on training, information-sharing, and institutional exchanges. Both nations expect these steps to enhance accountability and governance.
