Vienna's Seitenblicke Gala raises €335,000 for Austrian charities in glamorous night
The 27th Seitenblicke Gala in Vienna raised over €335,000 for charity last weekend. The star-studded event took place at the Interspot Film studios in Liesing, drawing prominent names from culture, business, and media. All proceeds will go towards Licht ins Dunkel, one of Austria's best-known charitable initiatives.
Inge Klingohr, founder of Interspot Film, hosted the gala at her company's studios. The evening was presented by Kristina Sprenger, while the auction was led by Karl Hohenlohe and Rudi Roubinek. Celebrities like Zoryana Kushpler, Lidia Baich, and Aaron Karl also helped by selling raffle tickets.
The highlight of the night was a charity auction, where a tambourine belonging to opera star Piotr Beczała fetched an extra €7,000. The top bid, however, went to an advertisement page in the Kurier newspaper, selling for €30,000. Beczała performed alongside Ania and Sophie Druml during the event.
The gala was part of seven events featured in ORF's Seitenblicke programme, including the Seitenblicke Night Tour. Among the guests were actor Cornelius Obonya, media personality Daniel Serafin, and entrepreneur Gaston Glock. The funds raised will support three key projects: Cape 10 – Haus der guten Hoffnung, Wienerwald Village Community, and Licht ins Dunkel's Emergency Relief Fund.
The event brought together high-profile figures for a night of entertainment and generosity. With €335,000 collected, the gala will help fund critical social projects across Austria. Licht ins Dunkel will distribute the money to initiatives aimed at aiding those in need.
