Venetian Las Vegas kicks off MSPT Season 17 with a $500K New Year’s Poker Open

The Venetian Las Vegas is set to host the Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) Season 17 from December 24, 2025, to January 19, 2026. The event will open with the New Year’s Poker Open, a $1,600 buy-in tournament offering a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The New Year’s Poker Open runs from January 1 to 4, 2026. Players will start with 40,000 chips, and blinds will increase every 40 minutes. Day 1A kicks off at 11:10 a.m. on January 1, with Day 1B on January 2 and Day 1C on January 3.

The MSPT Season 17 schedule includes high-stakes tournaments and special events. The New Year’s Poker Open starts the series, while satellite qualifiers and bounty tournaments add extra opportunities for players. The Venetian remains a key destination for major poker news and action over the holiday season.
