UK Poker League 2026 launches with £150K Main Event at Luton's Grosvenor Casino

The 2026 UK Poker League (UKPL) by 888poker kicks off on February 16 at the Grosvenor G Casino Luton. This year's series runs until February 23, featuring a £560 buy-in Main Event with a £150,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players from across the UK and Europe are expected to compete in what has become a key fixture on the poker calendar.

The Grosvenor G Casino Luton, a well-known venue for major poker tournaments, will host the week-long event. The schedule includes multiple side events, such as the Opening Voyage, a High Roller tournament, and a Seniors competition. Satellites for the Main Event will also run throughout the series.

The Main Event itself offers five Day 1 flights, giving players flexibility to enter as many as they wish. Unlimited re-entries are allowed until the end of the 12th level, increasing the chances for latecomers to join the action. The final day takes place on February 22, starting at noon GMT, where the last remaining players will battle for the title.

Last year's UKPL Luton drew 242 entrants, building a prize pool of £162,450. Ian Swan emerged as the champion, taking home £24,530. While exact figures for international participation aren't publicly detailed, past events have seen strong turnouts from Ireland, Germany, and France alongside a dominant UK presence.

The 2026 UK Poker League Luton promises a mix of high-stakes competition and accessible entry points for players of all levels. With a guaranteed £150,000 prize pool and a packed schedule, the event aims to attract both seasoned professionals and newcomers. The final day on February 22 will determine who walks away with the top prize.
