Trump’s relentless 2020 election claims dominate his latest Truth Social barrage

Former US President Donald Trump has continued to push his economic record while keeping the 2020 election at the centre of his public statements. Over the past few days, he posted over 100 messages on Truth Social, often attacking political opponents and repeating claims about election fraud—despite no evidence supporting widespread irregularities in the vote.

Trump spent much of his recent online activity targeting critics and rivals. He reposted calls for the prosecution of Barack Obama, shared a video from Georgia state senator Colton Moore demanding treason trials over the 2020 election, and mocked 'Radical Left Scum' in a Christmas message. His posts also included attacks on Somali immigrants, including Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, as well as criticism of the Affordable Care Act and Nancy Pelosi’s wealth.

Between political jabs, he promoted his economic policies, even as polls show many voters remain worried about rising costs. He also told reporters he enjoys taking their calls, a habit he has maintained since leaving office. The flurry of posts came through his Truth Social account, which has been a key part of the platform since its 2021 launch. The site was created by Trump Media & Technology Group, a company in which he holds a majority stake. No records indicate that his account—now with over 11 million followers—was originally controlled by someone else before being transferred to him. Throughout, Trump has kept his 2020 loss to Joe Biden as a recurring theme, despite no verified proof of fraud affecting the election outcome.

Trump’s recent activity underscores his focus on past grievances and ongoing political battles. His posts on Truth Social, combined with his public statements, signal a continued effort to rally supporters around claims of election unfairness and attacks on opponents. The strategy comes as economic concerns remain a mixed issue for voters assessing his legacy.
