Trond Bentestuen takes the helm as Norsk Tipping’s new CEO

Trond Bentestuen has been named the new CEO of Norsk Tipping. The appointment follows a period of interim leadership under Vegar Strand, who stepped in after Tonje Sagstuen’s departure. Bentestuen brings extensive experience from major retail chains to the role. Bentestuen currently leads Maxbo as its CEO. Before this, he held the same position at Rema 1000, where he built a reputation for strong management. His leadership skills and personal qualities have earned praise from Norsk Tipping’s chairwoman, Sylvia Brustad. Bentestuen replaces Vegar Strand, who served as interim CEO after Tonje Sagstuen left the position. The transition marks a shift towards long-term leadership at Norsk Tipping. His focus on responsible gaming and operational efficiency will shape the organisation’s future direction.
