Swiss player Sandro Carucci wins 2026 WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event

Sandro Carucci from Switzerland has won the 2026 WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event. The victory earned him 3,000,000 MAD (around €279,000) and his first WSOP Circuit gold ring. The event near me attracted 1,694 players, creating a prize pool of over 23 million MAD.

The final day started with 24 players, but Carucci emerged as the last one standing. He began the final table second-to-last in chips but fought back to claim the title.

A crucial moment came when he called a five-minute all-in with seven-four of spades against Turlough McHugh’s bluff holding just the ace of spades. This bold move gave Carucci the chip lead with only three players left.

The final table payouts were as follows: Malcolm Franchi (France) took second place for 2,300,000 MAD, while Turlough McHugh (Ireland) finished third, earning 1,700,000 MAD. Other finalists included Raul (Spain, 4th), Salim Sefiat (France, 5th), Aitor Cruz (Spain, 6th), Alexandre Bermon (France, 7th), Luc Ramos (Switzerland, 8th), and Mehdi Chaoui (Morocco, 9th).

As part of his win, Carucci also secured a €5,000 package for the upcoming WSOP Paradise event.

The next WSOP Circuit stops are already scheduled. Liechtenstein will host a tournament from February 26 to March 10, followed by the Marrakech Poker Open from March 24 to 29.

Carucci’s victory marks his first major WSOP Circuit success. The event in Marrakech set a strong turnout, with nearly 1,700 entries and a prize pool exceeding 23 million MAD. His win also guarantees him a seat in the next WSOP Paradise competition.
