Stuttgart’s Volksfest unveils ultra-exclusive areas for 2023’s elite partygoers

The Cannstatter Volksfest, Stuttgart's answer to Munich's Oktoberfest, is upping its game with exclusive areas, premium experiences, and club-like atmospheres. This year's festival promises longer parties in separate areas, each with its own entrance and toilets, a departure from the traditional Munich Wiesn.

One such exclusive space is the Spitzbuben Lodge, which boasts the highest turnover per square meter at the Volksfest. Its boss, Tim Berkemer, has created a 'Darkroom' or 'Secret Room' for an intimate experience, popularly known as a 'kiss spot' during the festival. The lodge also offers an annex tent with a separate entrance leading to its exclusive area.

The Schatzibar in the same tent draws a young, party-loving crowd with a spotify premium club-like atmosphere and house music. Meanwhile, Michael Wilhelmer's 'equipe lodge' in the Schwabenwelt serves champagne with a touch of spectacle, featuring muscular men in minimal clothing and fire fountains. The Club Royal, celebrating its 1850 Wasen premiere, offers a unique ski hut decor and waiters in ski goggles, with an astronaut welcoming guests at the entrance.

The lodge sells several hundred bottles of champagne daily, with prices ranging from 120 to 800 euros. Observers believe the Spitzbuben Lodge achieves the highest turnover per square meter at the Volksfest, reflecting the growing demand for premium experiences.

The trend towards exclusivity and premium experiences at the Cannstatter Volksfest is on the rise, with high-profile visitors and groups seeking exclusive spaces away from the regular festival crowds. Experienced festival organizers and established event companies are setting up new club bars to cater to this growing demand, making the 2023 Volksfest an exciting event for those looking for a more upscale festival experience.
