Starbucks opens a new community-focused café near GO Brant station in August

Starbucks is set to expand its news presence in Burlington with a new location opening in late August at 901 Brant St. The new store aims to serve a different clientele, focusing on driving customers and residents near GO Brant station. It replaces the closed Second Cup Coffee Co. shop at the same location.

The new Starbucks will have a clear distinction between 'to-go' and 'for-here' service, aligning with Starbucks' new CEO Brian Niccol's philosophy of refocusing on the community coffeehouse experience. Niccol, who took over in August 2024, launched the 'Back to Starbucks' strategy to create a more welcoming atmosphere.

The new location will offer indoor and outdoor seating, a drive-thru, and Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay for added convenience. However, parking is limited in front of the store. Starbucks is currently hiring for barista and shift supervisor positions at the new location. This is in addition to the existing Starbucks at 503 Brant St. in downtown Burlington, which does not have a drive-thru.

The new Starbucks at 901 Brant St. is expected to open in late August, bringing a new coffeehouse experience to Burlington residents and commuters. With its focus on community and convenience, it aims to serve a different clientele than the existing downtown location.
