Sportradar's Playradar merges sports betting with live casino gaming in 2026
Sportradar and its new division, Playradar, are launching a combined platform for sports betting and online casino gaming. The service will let users bet on sports and play casino games at the same time while watching live streams. The rollout is set to begin in 2026 across regulated markets, including Great Britain, North America, and Latin America.
The new venture will be led by Edo Haitin, a veteran with over 20 years in live casino development and iGaming operations. Previously the CEO of Playtech Live, Haitin will oversee Playradar's push into hybrid gaming experiences. The platform plans to merge live and historical sports data with casino mechanics, creating games tied to real sporting events.
Playradar's offering will include slots, table games, and crash games, all fully integrated into a single system. A live prediction product is also in development. Game releases are scheduled throughout 2026, with a focus on responsible gaming features embedded across all products. Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl described the move as a natural extension of the company's current business. The platform aims to tap into the growing demand for sports-driven casino content. Future expansions will target other regulated gambling markets, leveraging Sportradar's data, streaming technology, and global reach.
