Spanish poker players dominate early exits as tournament tension rises
The latest poker tournament has seen a string of eliminations as the prize money climbs. Eight players have now left the competition, with payouts ranging from €1,350 to €1,650. Spanish competitors dominated the exits, taking four of the top spots before the final stages.
Antonio Ramon Munoz from Spain was the first to go in 24th place, securing €1,350. Shortly after, Eloy Cordoba, also from Spain, followed in 23rd place with the same prize. Annette O'Carroll from Ireland then exited in 22nd, earning €1,350 as well.
Andres Herrera of Spain was next, finishing 21st and collecting €1,350. The action slowed slightly, with players growing more cautious as the payouts increased. Flavian Varga from Spain left in 20th place, taking home €1,650, while Jaime Rueda Sampedro, another Spanish player, was eliminated in 19th, winning the same amount. Poland's Marcin Jackowski was the last to depart in this stretch, finishing 18th and earning €1,650. Meanwhile, the poker.pro live reporter remained attentive, noting a mix of aggressive all-in moves, folds, and smaller pots at the outer tables.
With eight players now out, the remaining competitors are tightening their play. The higher payouts have made them more protective of their stacks. The tournament continues as the field narrows further.
