Sochi Airport dazzles travelers with giant Santa Claus and holiday magic

Sochi International Airport has been transformed for the New Year holidays with festive decorations across its terminals. Travellers passing through the pre-flight security area will now see a giant Santa Claus installation, garlands, and a 3D photo backdrop featuring local landmarks.

In sector B2 of the pre-flight zone, a 25-metre display shows Santa Claus flying a plane carrying a Christmas tree. The aircraft is decorated with wrapped gifts and a crescent moon surrounded by stars. The eye-catching installation is one of several new additions for the holiday season.

The decorations at Sochi Airport will remain in place throughout the holiday period. After the festivities, all materials will be repurposed in line with the airport’s sustainability efforts. The installations aim to create a cheerful atmosphere for passengers travelling during the season.
