SiGMA Africa Awards 2026 Crowns Gaming's Brightest Innovators in Cape Town

The SiGMA Africa Awards 2026 celebrated the best in gaming innovation on 3 March at Cape Town's GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World. Leading companies and individuals gathered to receive honours for their contributions to the industry's growth and technological progress.

Melbet took the top prize as Best Casino Operator 2026, beating strong competition from 1win, 1xBet, PantherBet, BETANDYOU AFRICA, and Afropari. The awards also highlighted standout games, with Mine Slot by InOut Games winning Slot Game Newcomer 2026 over finalists like Panthera Ventura by EGT Digital and Tea Party of Fortune by ELA Games.

BetConstruct AI was named Best Online Sportsbook Provider 2026, edging out Uplatform, Altenar, SOFTSWISS, and GR8 Tech. Meanwhile, Amusnet claimed the title of Best Slot Game Provider 2026, surpassing Booming Games, Pragmatic Play, PopOK Gaming, and GAMZIX. SOFTSWISS secured the Best Platform 2026 award, chosen from a shortlist that included Velitech, AtlasLive, and Digitain. Pragmatic Play was recognised as Best Casino Provider 2026, standing out against SA Gaming, Booming Games, and TaDa Gaming. In the compliance sector, Sumsub won Best KYC Solution 2026, selected over Jumio, WhoYou, and SEON. The ceremony also introduced new categories, with SkyPilot by Aardvark taking Crash Game Newcomer 2026 ahead of AVI by PopOK Gaming, Afrocrash by Choice Gaming, and SharkRush by SimplePlay.

The event showcased the latest advancements in gaming technology and innovation across Africa. Winners were chosen from a highly competitive field, reflecting the industry's rapid development and growing influence in the region.
