Sheriff Gaming's B2B licence suspended amid criminal probe into parent company

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has suspended the B2B licence of game developer Sheriff Gaming. The move comes after a Dutch police investigation linked its parent company, Bubble Group, to serious criminal allegations. The suspension will remain in place until at least October 29, when a formal hearing is set to take place.

The probe began in late May, with Dutch authorities examining Bubble Group's involvement in suspected drug trafficking, money laundering, and other unlawful activities. Sheriff Gaming, a subsidiary of the group, now faces regulatory action as a direct result.

The AGCC's decision will disrupt multiple gambling operators that relied on Sheriff Gaming's software. Major names like Bet365, Betsson, Gala Coral, Microgaming, and BetClic will all be impacted by the suspension. Further details on the investigation or past enforcement actions by the AGCC are not publicly available. Official records would need to be accessed through the commission's website or specialised compliance databases.

Sheriff Gaming's licence will stay suspended until the October hearing. Operators using its services must now find alternative solutions. The case highlights the potential fallout when a supplier faces regulatory scrutiny tied to broader criminal investigations.
