Shane ‘TOGI’ Stoffer’s high-stakes poker debut ends in $60K disaster

High-stakes poker stream Hustler Casino Live welcomed a new face this week as Shane Stoffer, known online as 'TOGI', joined a $25/$50 cash game. His opponents included streamers Alexandra and Andrea Botez, YouTuber Ethan Klein, and regular Mariano Grandoli. The session quickly turned volatile, with TOGI experiencing dramatic swings before walking away with heavy losses.

TOGI started strong, building his stack to over $30,000 early in the game. His aggressive play pushed the total to more than $40,000 at one point. But the momentum shifted when he clashed with Nik 'Airball' Arcot, a frequent high-stakes player known for his sharp table talk and strong opinions on poker strategy.

The first major blow came when TOGI raised with A♠ 10♠ and Arcot called with pocket aces. The board ran out unfavourably, costing TOGI $51,900. Undeterred, he continued playing but soon faced another crushing hand. After moving all-in with K♣ Q♣, he ran into Arcot’s A♦ K♦, losing a $63,900 pot. Arcot, an investment banker by profession, has become a polarising figure in live-streamed poker since 2022. With over 244 televised cash games under his belt and winnings exceeding $3.4 million, his confrontational style and near-fluency in Mandarin often spark debate. TOGI’s session reflected the high-risk nature of the game—rapid wins followed by steep losses. After his second big defeat, he decided to quit, finishing nearly $60,000 down. His approach had been characterised by large, frequent bets, leading to swings of over $15,000 within minutes. Despite early success, the final outcome left little room for recovery.

TOGI’s debut on Hustler Casino Live ended in a costly lesson, with nearly $60,000 lost in a single session. The match highlighted the unpredictability of high-stakes poker, where fortunes can shift in a single hand. Arcot, meanwhile, added to his growing reputation as a dominant force in live-streamed cash games.
