Sauercrowd prepares for its first Molten Core raid in WoW Classic Hardcore
Sauercrowd, a guild on the Soulseeker server, is gearing up for its first Molten Core raid in World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore. The event is set for Sunday, February 15, provided enough level-60 characters survive until then. Guild leader HandOfBlood recently hit max level with his rogue, marking a key step forward after over nine hours of intense grinding in Western Plaguelands.
The raid will bring together both newcomers and experienced players, all preparing for a gruelling seven- to eight-hour push into the dungeon.
HandOfBlood's rogue reached level 60 without dying, a rare achievement in Hardcore mode. His milestone came after a long session of questing and grinding, securing his place as one of the guild's first max-level leaders. The accomplishment was celebrated as a major boost for Sauercrowd's raid plans.
Preparations for Molten Core are now in full swing. The guild insists on thorough planning to avoid a wipe on the first pull. Players are stacking stat boosts from flasks, elixirs, and buff food, while also gathering world buffs. Each participant must study Molten Core mechanics in advance, ensuring the group is ready for the challenges ahead. The team expects losses, so a deep roster of players is essential. Deaths inside the raid—or even on the way there—will require backups. While farming pre-raid best-in-slot gear is encouraged, it isn't mandatory for joining the attempt. Metashi, another key member, clarified his earlier remarks about potentially switching to Burning Crusade Classic if his Hardcore character died. He apologised for the comment and confirmed his commitment to the guild's Hardcore journey. He will be part of the Molten Core raid, standing alongside his teammates. If this first raid succeeds, Sauercrowd plans to take on even tougher challenges. Future targets include Zul'Gurub, Blackwing Lair, and Ahn'Qiraj, depending on the guild's progress and survival rate.
The Molten Core raid is scheduled for February 15, assuming enough players remain alive. Success will hinge on preparation, coordination, and the guild's ability to adapt to losses. The outcome will determine whether Sauercrowd moves on to harder raids in the weeks ahead.
