Santhosh Suvarna wins $1.1M in *High Stakes Poker*’s epic three-way showdown
A dramatic three-way showdown on High Stakes Poker saw Santhosh Suvarna take down a $1.1 million pot after a series of high-stakes decisions. The hand, later named PokerOrg’s Hand of the Week, unfolded during a livestreamed game on PokerGO with six-figure stacks in play. Meanwhile, at the WSOP 2025, Jason Koon clinched the $50,000 High Roller title in a tense final against Andrew Lichtenberger.
The action began at $200/$400 stakes but quickly escalated to $500/$1,000. Jennifer Tilly opened the betting with a lead, only for Doug Polk to shove all-in. Suvarna then called, committing his last chips and setting up a massive three-way pot worth $1,126,500.
The flop delivered K♥️ J♥️ 2♠️, giving Polk and Tilly open-ended straight draws while Suvarna picked up a flush draw. The players agreed to four runouts, and Suvarna won three of them, securing the entire pot. Earlier, at the WSOP 2025 $50,000 High Roller, Koon faced Lichtenberger in the final hand. With K♦️ Q♠️ against A♠️ 10♦️, Koon flopped top pair on K♥️ J♥️ 2♠️. The win earned him the title and a $1,968,927 payday.
Suvarna’s victory in the High Stakes Poker clash marked one of the biggest pots in recent livestreamed games. The hand’s intensity and high stakes cemented its place as PokerOrg’s Hand of the Week. Meanwhile, Koon’s WSOP triumph added another high-profile win to his career, further solidifying his reputation in high-stakes tournaments.
