The Asian Poker Tour Women’s Championship concluded on Saturday following an intense final day. The tournament, with a TWD 35,000 (~$1,100) buy-in, attracted a record-breaking field and generated a prize pool of around $111,000. Rosalie Petit, a French player based in Austria, emerged victorious and took home TWD 905,160 (~$29,000) along with the prestigious Pewter Lion trophy.
The event kicked off with Japan’s Ohta Ami leading the chip count, while seasoned players such as Sofia Löfgren, Monika Zukowicz, and Shiina Okamoto also participated. By the final table, four players held stacks over 50 big blinds, but Petit swiftly took command. She eliminated multiple opponents before facing Yu Lun Huang in a heads-up battle.
Petit’s triumph marks another significant achievement in her poker career, following her earlier win in the series. The tournament’s record-breaking attendance and prize pool underscore its growing importance in women’s poker. The Pewter Lion trophy now joins Petit’s collection, solidifying her status among the event’s elite champions.
