Richard Berenbaum, a seasoned poker player, has secured a significant lead at the 2025 WSOPC Calgary tournament. He currently sits with nearly 2 million in chips after a crucial hand against Zizhu Zhao.

The decisive hand saw Berenbaum, with pocket kings, five-bet shove for 895k. Zhao, holding the ace-king of hearts, called the bet. The flop brought a king (K♠10♣A♣7♦), giving Berenbaum a pair. The turn and river (10♥) didn't change the dynamics, securing Berenbaum's win. This victory has propelled him to the top, while Zhao is now left with about 800k in chips.
