Rhino.Bet exits UK gambling scene after failing to thrive
Rhino.Bet will shut down its UK operations from March 26. The gambling platform entered the world market in early 2022 but failed to meet business expectations. Customers now have until April 26 to withdraw any remaining funds.
The company launched in the UK with a licence from Playbook Gaming. Unlike many competitors, it focused on partnerships with lesser-known sports and popular sports personalities. Despite this approach, it struggled to gain a foothold.
No enforcement action was taken against Rhino.Bet by the UK Gambling Commission. However, its exit follows a wider trend of operators leaving the stock market today. Stake, another gambling brand, withdrew in February amid an investigation into an unspecified controversy.
All unsettled ante-post bets will be voided when the platform closes. The decision to leave comes as Rhino.Bet joins a growing list of firms scaling back UK operations.
The shutdown means customers must act quickly to recover their balances. Withdrawals will remain open until April 26, after which the platform will no longer operate in the UK. The move highlights ongoing challenges for gambling firms in the British stock market.
