RELEASE: Feeding Oil Country 50/50 raffle underway

A new holiday raffle is aiming to tackle food insecurity across Alberta this December. The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) has launched the Feeding Oil Country 50/50, offering fans a chance to win prizes while supporting local food banks and Second Harvest.

The raffle runs from December 1 to December 31, 2025, alongside a Holiday Bonus draw. Prizes include premium Oilers tickets, signed game-used memorabilia, and other exclusive items—70 in total. Fans can buy tickets online at EdmontonOilers.com/5050.

Proceeds will go to Food Banks Alberta, Edmonton’s Food Bank, and Second Harvest. The first organisation works to reduce hunger province-wide, while the second rescues surplus food for non-profits across Canada. Edmonton’s Food Bank specifically helps families and children through hamper programs and community partnerships. To encourage participation, customers who spend $100 on 50/50 tickets receive extra bonuses from Century Casino and Play Alberta. The EOCF has also introduced Pick to Win, a separate game where fans can win additional prizes while backing the Foundation’s mission.

The raffle and bonus draws close on New Year’s Eve. All funds raised will directly support food security programs in Alberta and beyond. Tickets remain available until December 31 on the Oilers’ official 50/50 website.
