Pushkar Camel Fair 2025: A Cultural Bonanza from Oct 30 to Nov 5
The Pushkar Camel Fair, also known as the Pushkar Livestock Fair, is set to return to Pushkar, Rajasthan from October 30 to November 5, 2025. Organised by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) and local authorities, this annual event attracts traders, pilgrims, and visitors from across India and overseas.
The fair coincides with Karthika Purnima and the Hindu lunar month of Kartik, when pilgrims visit Pushkar Lake for ritual bathing. Apart from the camel and horse trading, visitors can enjoy cultural and sporting programs, hot air balloon rides, camel and horse rides, desert excursions, and quad biking. A Food and Craft Festival is planned to take place during the mid-point of the event, offering a variety of local delicacies and handicrafts. Stalls around the fairgrounds will showcase jewellery, textiles, silver ornaments, tie-and-dye work, and Nagaur beaded necklaces. Travel to Pushkar is convenient via Jaipur International Airport, Ajmer Railway Station, or road links with major Rajasthan cities.
Thousands of camels, horses, and other animals are expected to be brought to the trading grounds during the first few days of the event. The Pushkar Camel Fair is not just a trading event but a vibrant celebration of Rajasthan's culture, heritage, and traditions. It's an unmissable experience for both locals and tourists alike.
