PokerStars moves SCOOP 2026 to March in major poker calendar shake-up

PokerStars has shifted the dates for its 2026 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP), one of the biggest events in online poker. The festival will now take place from March 1 to March 25, two months earlier than its usual May schedule. Organisers say the change aims to create a smoother calendar of events throughout the year. SCOOP began in 2009 and has since grown into a major highlight for poker players. Over 143 million entries have competed across its tournaments, with total prize money exceeding $1.4 billion. The inaugural champion, Isaac 'westmenloAA' Baron, set the tone for what would become a record-breaking series. The new SCOOP dates mark a significant shift in PokerStars’ yearly tournament structure. Over $216 million has already been awarded to SCOOP champions since its launch. The earlier schedule could attract even more players to the 2026 edition.
