Poker's High-Roller Ossi Ketola Loses $9M in Two Brutal Days in Jeju

Finnish entrepreneur Ossi 'Monarch' Ketola has suffered heavy losses in a pair of high-stakes poker challenges. Over two days at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju, he dropped a combined $9 million to top players Wiktor 'Limitless' Malinowski and Alex Foxen. Known for his bold gambling style, Ketola has now lost millions in multiple recent clashes with professional opponents.

The first match took place on Saturday, where Ketola faced Malinowski. He lost $6 million in that single session. The defeat followed a previous $15 million loss to Dan 'Jungleman' Cates just last month.

The next day, Ketola returned to the tables for a second challenge, this time against Alex Foxen. That match ended with another $3 million loss for the Finnish player. Reports suggest he considered an immediate rematch, but time constraints in South Korea prevented it.

These latest defeats add to a difficult year for Ketola. As of March 9, 2026, he has already lost €1,247,500 in individual poker challenges. This includes €850,000 to Linus Loeliger in Vienna on January 15 and €397,500 to Niklas Astedt in Monte Carlo on February 28.

The Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju continues alongside these spontaneous high-stakes battles. Ketola's unpredictable approach has repeatedly put him in costly showdowns with elite players.

With $9 million lost in just two days, Ketola's recent poker run has been expensive. His total losses this year now exceed €1.2 million in separate challenges alone. The Triton event in Jeju remains underway, with more high-stakes action expected.
