Poker Dream 2026 Expands Awards with New Ladies and Regional Titles
Poker Dream has expanded its Player of the Year programme for 2026. Two new awards—the Ladies Player of the Year (LPOY) and Regional Player of the Year (RPOY)—will join the existing Dream Player of the Year (DPOY) title. The race for points kicks off on January 29 at Poker Dream 20 Malaysia.
All three awards will follow the same points system. Performance in tournaments, field size, finishing position, and buy-in level will determine rankings.
The DPOY winner will take home a prize package worth $15,000. This includes $11,000 in tournament credit and $4,000 for hotel stays.
The LPOY award will recognise the top female performer on the DPOY leaderboard. Additional points from Ladies Events will factor into the ranking. The winner receives a $5,000 package, split into $3,500 in tournament credit and $1,500 for hotels. Nine regions across Asia will each have an RPOY champion. The top point-earner from every region secures a $3,000 prize, consisting of $2,000 in tournament credit and $1,000 for accommodation. No official announcements have been made about the 2026 RPOY recipients. The list of regional winners remains unconfirmed by reliable sources.
The 2026 season introduces new ways for players to earn recognition. With expanded awards and clear prize structures, Poker Dream’s programme aims to reward performance across different categories. The first points will be up for grabs at the Malaysia event in late January.
