Poker Dream 20 Returns to Malaysia With MYR 4M Guaranteed Main Event
Poker Dream 20 is returning to Malaysia in early 2025, bringing a packed schedule of high-stakes tournaments. Running from January 29 to February 9, the festival will feature 70 events, including a MYR 4,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. Organiser Winfred Yu, founder of the Poker Dream series, has planned a mix of classic and alternative poker formats for players of all levels.
The festival kicks off with the MYR 1,500,000 guaranteed Malaysia Open, offering a MYR 1,000 buy-in across six starting flights. Among the highlights are a MYR 20,000 Super High Roller and a MYR 10,000 High Roller, catering to players seeking bigger challenges. Early registrants and high-stakes participants can also take advantage of complimentary hotel stays and discounted room rates as part of the early bird incentives.
The Main Event itself provides multiple entry options, with buy-ins ranging from MYR 2,400 to MYR 3,600. Beyond traditional Texas Hold'em, the schedule includes alternative variants like Pot-Limit Omaha, Big O, and Short Deck. A MYR 700,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty tournament adds extra excitement, while five dedicated Ladies Events will each award their own trophies. Supporting the main action, a full lineup of satellites and freerolls will run throughout the festival. Resorts World Genting, a familiar venue for the Poker Dream series, will once again host the event, offering a well-known setting for both local and international players.
Poker Dream 20 promises two weeks of intense competition, with guaranteed prize pools totalling millions. The festival's mix of tournaments, variants, and incentives aims to attract a wide range of players. Registration details and the full schedule are expected to be released in the coming months.
