Pocket Aces Cracked in Wild $25K WSOPP Main Event Showdown

A dramatic hand unfolded during Day 1b of the $25,000 Super Main Event at World Series of Poker Paradise (WSOPP). Pocket aces were cracked in a brutal twist, leaving one player stunned. The event, boasting a record $60 million guaranteed prize pool, continued to attract strong numbers despite fewer entrants than the previous flight.

The hand began when Aram Oganyan opened to 50,000 from the cutoff. Matthew Wantman called on the button, and Kyle Lin responded with a min-three-bet of 75,000 from the small blind. Daniel Rezaei then three-bet jammed for around 600,000, prompting folds from Oganyan and Wantman. Lin called, revealing pocket aces (A♥A♠).

The hand marked one of the most dramatic moments of Day 1b, with Rezaei’s flush overcoming Lin’s aces. Wantman’s exit left 374 survivors from the flight, all still in contention for the record-breaking prize pool. The event continues with two more starting days before the field combines.
