PLO Main Event pauses at 11 players as bubble tension builds

The PLO Main Event, hosted on Eventbrite, has reached a crucial point with only 11 players remaining. The tournament is currently paused at the hard bubble, meaning the next elimination will signal a significant shift in the competition. Three players—John McCarthy, Nu Teliani, and Ryan Smith—were the most recent to be eliminated from the main event.

The field has been narrowed down following a series of eliminations. McCarthy, Teliani, and Smith were the last to leave before the pause, leaving just 11 competitors still in contention. With the clock stopped, organizers await the next elimination to begin bagging and tagging chips for the final day.

The pause in play provides the remaining 11 players time to strategize for the final stretch. Once the bubble bursts, the event will resume with in-the-money play, setting the stage for the last six eliminations. The tournament will then conclude with the final table on the following day.
