PlaySignal debuts real-time risk detection for safer gambling operations

A new responsible gaming platform called PlaySignal has launched to help operators spot risky player behaviour sooner. The system was unveiled at ICE earlier this year and is now rolling out in the UK before expanding globally. Its creator, Alec Gehlot, believes early risk detection is key to sustainable gambling operations.

PlaySignal was developed by Alec Gehlot, a former senior executive at Optimove. The platform tracks player activity in real time and converts the data into simple signals for intervention. Instead of relying on delayed reports, operators receive instant alerts through a traffic-light system that highlights higher-risk patterns.

The tool integrates smoothly with existing operator systems, supporting responsible gaming, customer relationship management, and compliance teams. Its main goal is to cut down on preventable player exclusions by giving operators clearer, earlier warnings of emerging risks.

This launch comes as stricter gambling regulations spread worldwide. By February 2026, 47 regulated markets—including the UK, Germany, Sweden, and Ontario—will enforce new measures like mandatory loss limits, tougher affordability checks, and stake caps within the next two years.

PlaySignal's real-time monitoring aims to help operators act before problems escalate. The system's UK debut marks the first step in a planned international expansion. With tighter regulations on the horizon, tools like this could become essential for compliance and player safety.
